Google translates Persian today

Since today, Google added Persian (Farsi) to the languages it is able to translate to and from automatically through the Google Translate service. This means you can now translate any text from Persian into other languages and from other language into Persian on Google translate service.

Google said it hoped the service, which it rushed because of the turmoil in Iran, would be used by people inside and outside of that country to communicate and stay abreast of events. Google hope the service to facilitate communication in the region will be help people to communicate directly to the world and trying to help improve the flow of information coming out of Iran in any way they can.

According to Google official blog, they launched the service quickly, meaning that it may perform slowly for the moment. It is optimized for English-Persian translations, but still needs improvement for the other 40 or so languages Google Translate supports.

Over the past week, people inside and outside of Iran have used social Web sites like Tweeter, YouTube and and Facebook to communicate and bypass media restrictions in Iran. And now Google will help you and Iran people to communicate with this service.
