    The freemium model makes real sense for game marketing. People are attracted by the word “free”. By designing the game to be fully functional and free on entry levels but requiring a paid upgrade to advance to higher levels and/or enhancements is the essence of freemium. You develop the winning combination of trust and perceived value. This business model works in many arenas but is, in my opinion, a perfect fit for the gaming industry.
